Flow Movie
Flow is listed under ‘Other vids’ on the Liberty team’s website. In this case, ‘other’ only refers to being meant for a special purpose, namely film contests and fests, etc., not really fitting into the regular line of our vids from #1 to ‘Sk8 O’Clock’ to #8. Cutting was executed by Balázs “Bari” Horváth.
While filming, the crew strived to collect some mellow footies, and simply have fun, without any specific desire for big banging. Our 2010 trips in and out of town manifested in a wide variety of venues. (Some of these off-the-beaten-track spots are ruined or out of use due to clumsy skate stoppers.) You will also notice countryside venues in this chill-out piece. In the day-to-night downhill section at the end you may get a decent taste of carefree cruising around, the gist of skating.
Skaters (Liberty Crew members): Balázs “Bari” Horváth, Dénes Richter, Róbert Kovács, Zoltán Bukva and Mané Garrincha, complemented by our friends: the Rogovszky brothers (Máté and Bálint) and Tomi Szaládi.
Enjoy it in HD.
Kovács Róbert 2010 Liberty Video (re-edit)
Robi’s part on Paint it, Black – The Rolling Stones. The footage was mostly taken at the Heroes’ Square, old Budaörs skatepark, Balatonalmádi, Deák Square, Kacsóh Pongrác underpass.
Speed Demons Promo
Gyömrő crew skate video featuring Dénes Boronyák, Imre Varga and Tamás Kopcsik.
Imre Melon Grab Hősök
Nice melon grab from a kicker at the Heroes’ Square by Imre Varga.
Bukva (Zé) Zoltán 2011#
With his distinctive kamikaze style, „Zé” is undoubtedly a vibrant player of the local skateboarding scene. Heroes’ Square proved to be a great nostalgic setting for shooting some mellow lines, and you can notice venues from the Liberty crew’s tour to Balatonalmádi in July 2010. Check out some crispily popped transfer and over-the-pyramid tricks shot in the summer of 2011. Cut by Dénes Richter. Song: Hoodooo Gurus – When You Get to California
Jenga
Truly, Jenga is the Liberty crew’s cherished ‘love child’. Actually, the hard core of the crew started to take shape around the period Jenga was shot. Those good old days every one of us skaters keeps bringing up to members of younger generations… Filming was deliberately focussed on Heroes’ Square, our fave place to gather together back in the day. The sunny summer and mild early autumn of 2008 yielded some memorable moments: cool lines and several technical feats. Actually, nothing jaw-dropping, just having fun, as has been the case with our each vid. Some of the spots seen here are ruined or out of use due to skate-stopping. (The kickers and ‘shark fins’ flanking Gödör may R.I.P.)
Skaters (Liberty Crew members): Balázs “Bari” Horváth, Dénes Richter, Gábor Szabó and Róbert Kovács, complemented by our friends: the Rogovszky brothers (Máté & Bálint), Tomi Szaládi, Péter Bartke, Sanyi Rokob, Annie Boldog and Csaba „Vizo” Vizoviczki. Take the chance to check all these young folks in action, because many of them have long quit skating.
Editing was executed by Balázs “Bari” Horváth.

EKG #8 – 2008 május
This was our last issue in the EKG video series featuring Balázs “Bari” Horváth, Máté Rogovszky, Bálint Rogovszky, Balázs Igari and Péter Bartke. Máté landed a long noseslide on a 13 stair ledge and a 50-50 to fakie on a pole jam which led to an Offline Magazine interview later. Bari was in a cast because one of his fingers on his right hand was broken in this month.
EKG #7 – 2008 április
Bari and Dani Ács went to the Heroes’ Square to film long lines. This was the beginning of the Heroes’ and Deák square era when we met with new skaters (later, Liberty crew members). I moved my handrails from Újpalota to the Heroes’ Square (and stored it under the bridge at the City Park Ice Rink). Bari landed a varial heelflip at the Hubay Jenő Square 4 stair.
EKG #6 – 2008 március
This month we recorded footage from others (Rogovszky Máté, Ács Dani), too. You can see the first tricks at the Szilas-stream spot and some other new tricks from Újpalota street spots and from the Action Dayz contest.
EKG #5 – 2008 február
Bari and Miki went to Újpalota street spots including the Matáv center and the Pattogós school street spots. Bari landed a kickfip at the Hubay Jenő Square 4 stair.
EKG #4 – 2008 január
Bari and Miki went to the Kacsóh Pongrác underpass and to the marble bench near Ferenciek Square. Bari landed a heelflip on six stairs in Újpest and did his first ollie on top of a ping-pong table.
EKG #3 – 2007 december
As the winter kickin in, Bari and Miki went to the Kacsóh Pongrác underpass.
EKG #2 – 2007 november
This month Bari and Miki went to various skate spots in Budapest around the tram line 37, Békásmegyer yellow handrail, Kacsóh Pongrác underpass, Móricz Zsigmond Square and the City Park ice rink.
EKG #1 – 2007 október
This month Bari and Miki went to 17th district skatepark and nearby skate spots. Monthly recurring videos (like hearthbeat), called “EKG” were made made between October 2007 – May 2008 starring with Miklós Pomázi and Balázs “Bari” Horváth. All eight EKG videos were cut by Bari.
Kingpin #3 – 2007 nyár-ősz
The Kingpin #3 has become a 16 minute long team video featuring Balázs “Bari” Horváth, Máté Rogovszky, Balázs Igari and Miklós Pomázi. This was the end of the Újpalota era, before we started to skate the Heroes’ and Deák Square. You can discover the old Drégelyvár street stair spot, Matáv center, Pattogós school spot (where we had our rails and box), Godspeed and Veresegyháza skateparks and the Újpest-központ spots. This year Miki did a bs boardslide on the Drégelyvár street big handrail and won the ollie jam at the Offline Sport Games (OSG) with a 90 cm high ollie.
Kingpin #2 – 2007 tavasz
Bari learned a few new heelflip tricks since the first Kingpin video. He could do these tricks on the stairs/gaps in 2007. The first part of the video was shot at the Ady theatre gap in Újpest. You can also see some old footage at the Matáv center in Újpalota.
Kingpin #2 Extra – 2007 tavasz
Bails and missed tricks with some uncut footage from the Kingpin #2 video.
Kingpin #1 – 2006 nyár
Balázs “Bari” Horváth’s first skate video, cut by Péter “Tsirke” Grósz in 2006. We tried out all the special effects in Sony Vegas video editor. We recorded the heelflips and varial kickflips in Újpest, around the Könyves Kálmán secondary school.
